Fahari L. Jeffers Elementary School opens it's doors to students and families on July 20, 2022! Our amazing school offers an engaging; yet rigorous learning environment for students in TK-6^th grade. Our instructional program emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child, and strives to instill high standards for academic integrity, and leadership. Through our programs, students are given the technology, skills and knowledge to be effective members of our school community and  global society.

Our campus boasts modern facilities and grounds, a state-of-the-start, student-friendly innovation center, a Maker Space, and a great team of ambitious teachers and staff ready to give the students of Fahari L. Jeffers Elementary School the best school experience ever!

In Swahili, the name “Fahari” means “magnificent and rare.” 

Fahari L. Jeffers was a lifelong learner,and a labor leader who is best known for her role in founding the United Domestic Workers of America,  the third union in United States history founded by people of color. Fahari L. Jeffers was also a distinguished attorney who gave a voice to the voiceless.Naming this school after a fearless, African American woman leaderis a testament not only to Fahari’s achievements in social justice, but serves as a beacon of hope for rising generations to come.

Fahari L. Jeffers fue una aprendiz constante y una líder laboral que es mejor conocida por su papel en la fundación de United Domestic Workers of America, el tercer sindicato en la historia de los Estados Unidos fundado por personas de color. Fahari L. Jeffers también fue una abogada distinguida que dio voz a quienes no son escuchados. Nombrar a esta escuela en honor a una valiente líder afroamericana es un testimonio no solo de los logros en justicia social de Fahari, sino que también sirve como un faro de esperanza para las futuras generaciones.
