Dear Doves,

Our annual Storybook Parade will be held on Monday, October 31st at 8:45am at the soccer field.  Students are invited to dress up for this special school spirit day. In order for this day to be fun, safe, and still serve as an educational day, please review the following guidelines with your child so that everyone can have a good experience:

1. No character costumes with weapons of violence, scary masks, or masks

with blood. Please note: **If students bring the above, they will not be permitted to walk in the parade with those items.

2. Head/face masks will only be allowed during the parade. Students will be asked to remove their masks at the conclusion of the parade.

3. Students should come to school in costume. Students will be allowed to stay in their costume for the remainder of the day, as long as the costume does not distract the instructional day.

4. Students are encouraged to bring a change of clothes and will be allowed to change after the parade. If students would like to remove their face make-up, we ask that students not wash off make-up or hair dye in the restrooms or in classrooms. Wet wipes may be brought from home to remove make-up.

The parade will begin at 8:45am. Students will parade around the blacktop in costume. Parents and family members are welcome to watch the parade.

If you do not want your child to participate in the parade, please let your child’s teacher know so that arrangements can be made for your child during the event. Your support with these guidelines will ensure that this is a safe and fun day for all.

We look forward to seeing you, on Monday, October 31st
