Father Joe’s Village School Supply Drive:

Please donate school supplies for students in need! We would really appreciate your support with donations for: pencils, pens, paper, highlighters, colored pencils, markers, crayons, glue, backpacks, tape, notebooks, calculators, scissors, binders, and erasers.

**** Please note that Mrs. Sandoval’s class is currently in FIRST PLACE! Families have until Friday, 5/31 to donate. Thank you!

 This week, from May 6th-10th, we celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! This special week is a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude and admiration for the incredible educators and staff who make a positive impact on our children's lives every day.

Join us in showing appreciation for our teachers' hard work, patience, and dedication. Let's come together to thank them for inspiring young minds, fostering a love of learning, and making our school community a vibrant and nurturing place.

State and Local Measures Testing:

Our Statewide CAASPP Testing begins this week for 5th and 6th grade students, and 1st-3rd have i-Ready Local Measures testing this week. Tests gives an opportunity to see how much your students have grown this year. In order for your kids to do their best we ask that you help your kids:

§  Get good rest in the evening

 

§  Eat a healthy breakfast

 

§  Speak to your kids to encourage them to do their best and answer any question they may have

 

§  Write your student a positive note  or letter to read before they begin their daily testing.

 

§  We kindly ask that parents/guardians attempt to limit absences (appointments/vacations) during the testing windows to create a testing environment with minimal distractions and make-up testing.

 

Monday, May 6

Staff Appreciation: Dress like your favorite Sports Team and Surprise a staff member with their favorite snack

·       3pm-Cooking Class-Grades 1-3

Tuesday, May 7

·       “The Day of the Teacher”

·       Staff Appreciation: Come with crazy hair or a crazy hat and show a staff member you are crazy about them by bringing them their favorite candy

Staff Appreciation: Wear your Fahari Jeffers Spirit Wear and Bring a Staff member their favorite drink
